Life and Life After
Hello again Dear Friends,
I always try to be open for those avenues and opportunities life may bring, as one just never knows exactly how the Universe is sending you messages and answers. I'm convinced that our purpose in life is Soul growth and happiness, and the process is always expanding.
Within the past few months, two books from two different people were presented to me on the subject of NDE's or near death experiences. I was not actively looking to read or study this subject area but both seemed interesting.
The first one was titled "Proof of Heaven" by Eben Alexander, M.D. and the second "Dying to be me" by Anita Moorjani. Both are autobiographical and portray the author's experiences as they shortly view the afterlife in the midst of severe illness. Both authors appear to have been within 24hrs of physical death and both, to their doctor's amazement, returned to a healthy life.
The description of the afterlife was somewhat familiar relative to other descriptions I have read, in both cases painting a stunning, beautiful, picture of Oneness and love. Certainly books like these and others like it them should ease the fear of death that seems to grip so many of us. There is every reason to believe that life after death is a beautiful peaceful journey where we are often reunited with loved ones.
As I contemplated the primary lesson learned from these two books it quickly occurred to me that although the new found knowledge of the afterlife was interesting to say the least, this was not the primary point the authors wished to convey.
The essence from both books, in my opinion, is the ability to further understand the "NOW" of our present physical incarnation, our Oneness with the creator, and the intense love which goes along with that. Both authors returned to their physical bodies with the resolve that "heaven" can indeed exist here on Earth.
I'll ask you to try this experiment tomorrow. When you first wake up just smile and take a moment to appreciate. DO NOT turn on your radio or TV but go to a mirror, look into your eyes and fall in love with your spirit. Say to yourself, "I love you", and see the light within. For the reminder of the day look for the love and light of the creator in everything and everyone you come across. This requires a conscious effort!
Do this for an entire day and take stock of your personal vibration and how you feel. We are energy and as we learn to feel and alter our personal energy our life awakens in joy.
In the end, these two books certainly gave me some insight into what life after death might be like, but more importantly they gave me further understanding of who and what we all are right here, right now, in human form on Planet Earth.
We are all eternal energetic light beings, connected to our higher self, and filled with the light of God. The more we are willing to connect with who we really are, typically through mediation, contemplation, prayer, and immersing ourselves in nature, the more awakened we become, the more we can manifest, and the more brilliant life becomes!
With love and appreciation,
