THE RHYTHM AND RESPONSIBILITY OF CHANGE
OVERCOMING THE BIGGEST FEAR OF ALL TO SUCCESSFULLY ADAPT
Hello again Dear Friends,
Welcome to yet another new year, 2013, wow, wasn’t it just 2000 with all the hoopla? How have YOU changed in just these past 13 years? Are you happier, more fearful, healthier, more stressed, wealthier? Are you manning the controls of your life and destiny or are you only reacting to the constant, often negative, stimulus that appears before you?
Just because time moves forward and we get older individually doesn’t mean that a positive progression for us and our society are in order. Looking back in history it certainly seems to me that the ancient Egyptian and Greek societies were more advanced than the times of the middle and dark ages. Therefore as inevitable change takes place it is our personal responsibility to respond and deliberately progress in order to create the life we desire.
In looking at my own life there certainly has been a constant rhythm of change with the acknowledgement that nothing stays the same whether good or bad. With this understanding the question then is always what and how can the individual create a life and society of peace, freedom, love, and abundance?
As we begin yet another new year, what will 2013 and the immediate years ahead look like. Are we on the immediate precipice of the new golden age I spoke of last month or will violence, male domination, greed, and lack of self responsibility turn us into a another dark ages?
I know these are deep and difficult questions, but I also know in all my heart that we must choose to be proactive creators of what we desire rather than spectators and victims to what exists around us.
As an eternal optimist, and as I ask the questions above I have tried to locate that starting foundation point from which we begin to create our life experience. If you have read these letters in the past you know I believe that we create with our thoughts, emotions, words, beliefs, and actions. But still, how and where do we get started?
I have come to the conclusion that the best starting point is the elimination of our greatest inhibitor, and that is FEAR, and the greatest fear is the fear of physical death. The violence in our media, the ridiculous notion of hell, the medical industry all feed on this fear of physical death, and this fear ultimately leads us down a path contrary to what we desire. How do we possibly overcome this fear in order to allow ourselves to then be a vibrational match to what we desire? It begins by acknowledging that we all are going to die a physical death, and in fact, we have done so many times in other lifetimes.
Two months ago I made an emergency trip back to New Jersey where my mother had been placed in intensive care. She passed away rather peacefully only a few weeks after entering the hospital. During my visit and her stay in the hospital I spent my evenings at the home of my mother and father.
One of these evening before going to sleep I wandered the house mostly looking at old family photos. In the den beside the dining room were bookshelves with over 150 books, but on the coffee table were only a few which my mother had been reading. One of these books was “Many Lives Many Masters” written by the psychiatrist Dr. Brian Weiss. It is a book I had read initially over twenty years ago, and one my mother and I had discussed on numerous occasions over the years. As I opened the book I noticed my mother’s numerous earmarks and paperclips identifying specific passages about the eternal nature of our SOUL and our ability to communicate with spiritual beings.
One of the reasons this book is so believable and entertaining to me is the fact that Dr. Weiss was as surprised as anyone by what he was learning while treating a certain patient under hypnosis. Upon reading the earmarked pages I immediately new my mother was at peace with where she was and with where she was going.
This is just one of many books and resources that has assisted me in understanding the eternal nature of who we are and the purpose of our physical life experience. I am certain that we create our life experience through our accumulated vibrations and that any vibration based in fear will never allow us to reach our intended destination.
As we begin 2013, its time to be a deliberate creator, absent fear, of what we desire. Syncing our thoughts, emotions, spoken words, beliefs, and actions in harmony with our intended destination is the way we accomplish this! I am happy to assist in any way I can.
Have a sensational New Year!!!
With love and appreciation,
