Why Change is Good
your adventure awaits

Why Change is Good
I don’t know about you, but when I start thinking about Spring I am always invigorated to start something new and make some meaningful changes in my life. It may be the darkness of winter passing or the childhood remembrance of returning to play outdoors, but it feels like the start of something new and awaiting adventures.

What is change and is it really necessary?

As I sit down to write and share this message I try hard not to be overly repetitive in the suggestions I offer, and at the same time try and keep things simple.

I understand why change is good and I exercise my will and self-determination to invoke change in my life so that I grow to become a more open and aware individual.

But, interestingly, in my speaking engagements I am continually told by my audiences how they appreciate it when I remind them of the basics and fundamentals.

Why Change is Good / How to Balance Your Life

It’s almost amusing, but as a speaker I strive to bring new and refreshing information to my presentations, but my biggest thank you almost always seems to pertain to basics I continually review.

I guess we all need that strong foundation from which to build. I appreciate this need and while I may give my audience the familiar stories they desire, I manage to present the information in a slightly different way.

I do this because while I understand the importance of change, everyone is different in their journey to get there. And change manifests it's best results when that change takes individual natures into account. In other words, an element of balance ideally will accompany the impending change.

Restoring balance to your life is an art, but because we all desire to feel good and aspire to 'be better,' balance is a goal worth achieving. In this way the change is gradual and, in the end, appreciated.

Why Change is Good / Painting Your Canvas

Recently I spoke of how our life is a beautiful white canvas that we get to create exactly as we desire, IF we know the steps and have the tools. As we head into spring, change is in the air so let’s review a few more of the essential ingredients for manifesting our life’s dreams.

How much of our happiness and abundance is related to our relationships… relationships at work, relationships at home with spouse, children, and parents, and relationships in more public settings?

Why Change is Good / 4 Keys to Manifesting

Here are a few pointers that may really help.

1. It is not another person’s job to make you happy. It’s your job! So many individuals that I speak with tell me they would be happier if their co-workers or spouse would just do………….. Happiness is an inside job, and whenever you base your happiness on what others need to do you are setting yourself up for disappointments.

And if you are stuck on a place to start... just begin by being grateful for your miraculous ability to see or hear or speak or talk or feel or think. Gratitude is the seed that happiness grows from.

2. Whatever you think another person is thinking, you are wrong! You may be wrong by an inch or a mile, but we can never know exactly what another is thinking. What I have observed, especially in the workplace and with friendships is that so much upset is caused when we think we know what another is thinking.

3. We all have the ability to choose where our focus is relative to another. EVERYONE has attributes that we may like and other attributes which drive us crazy. Here is the key! At any given moment we have the choice as to where we want to focus our attention regarding another.

Yes, it is a choice. For a change tomorrow, why not focus only on those wonderful attributes you love about your spouse or co-workers and see how the relationships can flourish.

4. Relationships may have a life of their own and they do come and go. That’s OK! Recently, at one of my speaking engagements, an older gentleman came up to me with a big smile and proclaimed that a big reason for his happiness was his ability to “weed his relationship garden”.

He explained that he was no longer willing to spend time with those individuals who preached negativity and loved pity parties, and he simply weeded them out of his life.

Why Change is Good / Be The Change

No matter where we live or whomever we come into contact with we carry ourselves with us. Does this sound obvious? Well, I point it out because it is the real key to why change is good. When you change things about yourself that you do not like or would simply like to improve you will automatically attract more pleasing situations and people into your life.
