What is prosperity and how can you get your share? Do you that that if you have self-determination, you remain resolved to save your pennies, and manitain that competitive edge that you can acquire prosperity? Do you believe because of the 80/20 rule you have more to gain by doing whatever it takes?

The subject “Prosperity Cannot Be Bought” was offered just recently by one of my readers, and I must say, I love it! Let's face it we would all love to attain prosperity and we would all love to learn how to attract wealth. So, where do we start?

A basic definition seems like a good place to start. Webster’s defines ‘prosperity’ as the condition of being successful or thriving.

What is Prosperity / Questions to Ponder

Given the definition above, allow me to pose some questions for you to contemplate the concept of prosperity:

When it comes to YOUR life, how is your health, your relationships, and your finances?

Do you smile easily, are you helpful to others, is there an inner calm, and are you getting what you want?

In your view what is attachment and how does it show up in your life?

What is attachment and how does it show up in your life and hold you back?

How do you feel about capitalism? Does it make you think 'opportunity' or does it leave you with an 'us against them' mentality?

Do you believe that you have the power to manifest your reality?

Do you have a comfortable balance between work and play?

What is Prosperity / Your Life's Portrait

I recently wrote an article about how our life is like a blank white canvas and WE get to paint our own picture. I think we all want to believe this, but it is easy to get stuck and create a picture that may not be exactly what we envision in our dreams. In fact, sometimes we even allow others to actually paint our picture for us.

How Is Your Picture Being Influenced

As the world is changing like never before, we are all looking to create emotional and financial abundance, but we are finding it takes more than just hard work and a clearly defined goal. I regularly touch on the subject of Universal Oneness, that common thread which exists through us all, and the glue which holds it together, LOVE.

What is Prosperity / The Role of Love

Love is certainly a requirement to reach true prosperity so let’s break down some of its important aspects.

*Self-Love- It is impossible to fully love another until and unless we love ourselves. Sometimes this may even mean so-called selfish behavior whereby we do for ourselves without fear of judgment from others. Doing things WE like to do typically enhances our self love and when we like ourselves, how much nicer are we to everyone and everything?

*Love of Spirit- There is more to us than flesh, blood, and bones and that is the Universal Spirit force which runs through us all. Acknowledging and loving this Divine Energy source and offering our gratitude and appreciation is what allows us to live with Grace.

*Unconditional Love- Can you love another when they are not acting in the manner you desire? Unconditional love is all about allowance; the acknowledgment that we are all unique and here on Earth to live a life of free choice and respecting that in everyone.

*Love without attachment- When we examine some of our global challenges with relation to people, the environment, or a current financial issue, a lack of Love is evident. Remember that Love is the cosmic glue of the Universe and when our connection to Divine Love is weakened, our society begins to weaken as well.

Love without attachment means being able to maintain our individual Love consciousness in the face of undesirable events. This takes practice, self-discipline, and will-power.

So, in the end, when we ask the question, "What is prosperity?", it is important to understand that we ask with an open mind and an open heart. Real prosperity can not be bought, because it is free - it is our divine right as human beings. Since we are all sparks of spirit from the same great Source, we are already prosperous beyond measure.
