Thought and Manifesting
The daily news, pity parties with friends and family, financial downtown in the workplace: sometimes wherever we turn its more negativity. Is it any wonder our lives our filled with stress, feeling of inadequacy, and lack?
Before we go any further, let's acknowledge that most of the factors which go into creating our life experience (the manifesting process) involve our thoughts and our emotions. Okay, now now take a deep breathe and open your mind.
Thought and Manifesting / Manifesting Thought Into Reality
First simply admit it; you believe in the concept of manifesting thought into reality. Belief in a positive outcome is important if you want long-lasting change in your life. You've heard countless people talk about it, you've read the books and seen the movies - you KNOW it's possible and you are ready to jump in the positive stream of life.
Manifesting Your Thoughts / Self Responsibility
Most new endeavors require personal self responsibility and it is no different here. We must make the decision to stop attending the pity parties and we must limit the daily news.
Think about this for a moment. You know your thoughts are powerful, in fact by now you know that manifesting your thoughts is something that happens on auto-pilot. Our subconscious mind is showing us what we have been feeding our minds since we were toddlers.
So since you understand the connection between thought and manifesting, you know that you have to start feeding your mind different images, thoughts and ideas about yourself, others and the world around you.
Thought and Manifesting / It's All in the Choices
These are easy conscious choices and the first step to making positive change in our lives. At first, when you trade in the newspaper for a good book, or CNN for soft music it may seem like you are saying goodbye to an old friend, but please realize it is an old friend who has worn out their welcome.
And once you do begin to make changes like turning off the television and opting to meditate instead of reading the daily news, quietly express your gratitude to your higher being for giving you the strength to do so. The power of appreciation can not be undervalued.
Once we are able to slow down the enormous amount of negativity which reaches us we are able to begin the process of connecting within, to our inner spirit, which then allows us to create a life of inner calm, emotional prosperity and even material manifestation.
Manifesting Technique / Manifesting and Imagination
The next step is developing a daily practice of meditation and contemplation. This is a time to shut off the hard, material, outside world and use your imagination to visualize the beauty, love and pure positive energy of who you are in the inner.
I consider meditation the practice of quieting our minds and thoughts, and contemplation the power of then creating with these thoughts. Many people have put off beginning a practice of meditation because of lack of time or lack of an understanding of the role our thoughts play in who we are. At any given moment we are the sum of our thoughts emotions, words, and actions and to change our life experience we MUST begin by changing our thoughts.
Thought and Manifesting / Find Your Sacred Space
When beginning a meditation practice I would suggest just a few minutes per day for starters. Certainly more time will eventually be needed, but beginning any process without it feeling like it is a burden is very helpful. Just find a quiet place without phones, computers, or interruption. Next, sit in a comfortable position with a straight spine, close your eyes, and breathe in through your nose and out your mouth in five second intervals.
Focus on a bright golden white light from the heavens running through the top of your head and out your spine. Just relax, and focus on your breathing and the light. The idea is to stop thought for a few seconds at a time. With practice this will become a fun relaxing exercise. Now, just add a few minutes per day until you get up to about 15-20 minutes.
Thought and Manifesting / Set Your Intention
As you feel all the negative thoughts subsiding and your mind relaxing and quieting, you now are in a position to begin your contemplation or creation with thought. This contemplation practice begins by setting your intention for manifestation.
There is no reason to limit yourself here. Examples may range from a desire for a greater connection to spirit (recognizing your oneness with the Universe) to simply losing those twenty pounds, and everything in between. Once your intention is set and your mind relaxed, just picture the outcome and ask for direction. Answers will come forth telepathically in the form of thought and impulse. Practice, practice, practice and have faith in the outcome.
