FREEDOM AND LOVE
Hello again Dear Friends,
In the fall of 2008, after thirty-five consecutive years in an 8-5 working business environment I left the corporate business world to work on a new career in speaking and writing. The bank I was working for closed the mortgage division I was heading and I decided it was time to move on. I had been laid off.
When I think back on thirty-five years, which began just two weeks out of college, it’s hard to believe that essentially for all that time I was never unemployed, usually made good money, and almost always enjoyed my work. All of this I am very appreciative of, and even with that said I had NO desire to jump back into the corporate world or to even ask for unemployment compensation.
As I began my new career working out of my house I wondered if I would miss the office camaraderie, the regular paychecks and benefits, the responsibility, the prestige, and the routine. Frankly, I had no idea what it would feel like or if I would enjoy the new life and work style. Within just weeks, although still feeling uneasy with the complete change, I was totally smitten with the feeling of FREEDOM!
Freedom trumped everything! It trumped the insecurity of the next paycheck, the fact I was somewhat of a nuisance to my wife in her castle (our house which she now has to share 24/7), the fear of having to sell myself in a new career,……. everything! I came to realize that I had never taken the time to appreciate freedom, which I actually was never without, and that’s the point.
I always had the freedom; it just was not appreciated to the extent that it is now. I know that many are going through difficult times right now be it with finances, relationships, or even health issues, but think how free we are to take action and attempt to change and transform. Education opportunities, dating websites, traditional health care advancements and holistic options, mobility, communication all enhance our freedom if we take some responsibility and action. We are FREE to think, feel, and act for ourselves.
When we have freedom to live and act the only missing ingredient to transformation is LOVE, which can be divided into three parts:
*Love of self-This is most important. Look in the mirror, into your eyes, and tell yourself “I love you”, and say it until you believe it. Through your eyes you will see your eternal Soul, your Godself, the true you.
*Unconditional Love: This is your love for everything and everybody absent conditional approval. This includes all other humans, our Planet Earth, and our animals. This is letting yourself and everyone else know that you are unique and so are they.
*Love without attachment: This is the most difficult. This is training yourself to stay in a place and vibration of love in spite of all that is going on around you. In spite of what the terrorists do, in spite of your financial condition, in spite of a lousy relationship, in spite of poor health, in spite of lack of government and business integrity etc. This is not allowing all the crap which bombards us to weaken our energy and vibration of love.
Appreciation of our individual freedom including the freedom to act, coupled with the power of love is what will enable us to live a life of joy, abundance, and contentment. The energetic powers of our thoughts, emotion, and words along with our actions typically control the individual transformation and manifestation process. When we appreciate and embrace the freedom we possess, and surround ourselves in love, integrity and respect, life gets lighter in every way.
I know that making all this happen does take effort and practice. The how to, is what I also teach, and will continue to offer in the months to come. I’m always looking for additional opportunities to share these tools here in the Denver area and around the country. Wishing you a great 2012, the year of transformation. www.andyfeld.net
